Leading and Learning: Going from Grit to Great

I am a seasoned learning and organizational development leader with more than 20 years of experience helping companies strengthen their people, performance, and culture. As the Director of Training & Development at Lexicon, Inc., I lead enterprise‑wide learning strategy, leadership development, craft upskilling, and the continued evolution of Lexicon University, our internal education and capability-building ecosystem.

I am known for designing scalable development systems and implementing leadership pathways, talent management frameworks, and engagement strategies across industries including industrial construction, manufacturing, energy, and professional services. My approach blends data‑driven insights with human‑centered coaching, enabling leaders and teams to unlock their strengths and drive measurable impact.

Beyond my corporate role, I’m an entrepreneur and certified coach. As the Founder of Nova Catalyst Coaching, I support leaders in transition navigating growth, role-transitions, and life-transitions. I also spent more than a decade as Partner and Co‑Founder of The Houston Aces, contributing to operational and organizational leadership within amateur, semi‑professional, and professional women’s sports.

My Leadership Philosophy: Making the Abstract Concrete

I believe leadership is a practice – one rooted in clarity, coaching, and continuous learning. I am committed to helping leaders understand themselves deeply, communicate with intention, and create environments where people feel both challenged and supported. My work centers on building high‑trust, high‑accountability cultures where individuals can perform at their best and grow with purpose.

Everything Starts with Curiosity

Curiosity is the red thread in my life and leadership. I see it as more than an attribute. it is a discipline and a strategic advantage. For me, curiosity means asking better questions, seeking context before conclusions, and exploring problems from multiple angles. It fuels learning agility, innovation, and effective leadership. I believe curiosity doesn’t just drive better decisions; it fuels courage, creativity, and connection. It is the spark behind meaningful improvement and the hallmark of resilient, future‑ready leaders.
